Contemporary Energy Dynamics and Strategic Options for Africa

28 October 2026Kigali Marriott Hotel

Background

Africa has significant energy resources but continues to face major challenges in access, affordability and reliability. More than 600 million people on the continent still lack access to electricity, while many countries face gaps in energy infrastructure, financing and regional integration. These constraints continue to affect economic activity, industrial development and the wellbeing of communities. ISCA convened a discussion on "Contemporary Energy Dynamics and Strategic Options for Africa", bringing together policymakers, practitioners and experts to examine the changing energy landscape, its implications for Africa and the strategic options available to the continent.
